Luxury Fashion Trends For 2024

Current Fashion Trends, Ideas & Style

After a year of being locked up, working from home and wearing our slacks, it’s time to get back into the world and start expressing yourself once more. With the previous year not focusing too much on the styles they were bringing out, this year is a free for all for luxury designers to show what they are made of. Express yourself with pastel colours, bucket hats or even the odd trench coat to get you through the year. More and more people are becoming much more conscious with their buying habits now so luxury doesn’t always have to mean brand new, it could be vintage as to some extent, our style is going back to the 90’s fashion trends but with much more colour and relaxed fittings. In this article, we will go through some of the biggest fashion trends to hit 2024.

Hoodies Under Blazers

I know what you’re thinking, hoodies? I’ve worn them all year! Well, not like this you haven’t. This is a growing trend which everyone is trying to follow and make their own version of, but with the likes of Awake NY, Palace and Off White all having these in their lookbooks, it’s hard not to give it a try yourself. This has been a streetwear style that has been made mainstream, and there isn’t any sign of it dropping off anytime soon. If you have a tailored blazer, then a thinner hoodie works best, but a boxy blazer works a treat with all kinds of hoodies, mix in a pair of slacks or rolled-up jeans with some nice heels or luxury sneakers and this outfit is done.

Vintage Jewellery

Like I said before, more people are much more conscious of their buying habits these days, and so they should be! Not everything has to be brand new to look good, and that’s the beauty of fashion. With more people being more sustainable and vintage, it is easy to see why many people are opting for more vintage jewellery. It is more sustainable due to the materials being reused rather than having to be mined again. They also look fantastic with your everyday wear as well as when you go out, with their intricate designs and bold edges, they will be sure to stand out from everyone else.

Pastel Colours

Pastel colours are a huge trend this year, especially this summer. Yes, it may be a bit out there but the colours are just really popping this year. From pastel blues and greens to pastel pinks and yellow, they all look fantastic, even when you dress from head to toe in pastel. Pastel colours offer a feeling of softness, calmness and even openness. Top designers like Prada and Versace are using them in their 2024 collection. You can splash more colours to the look or you could pair with monochrome, either way, pastel colours are definitely a must this year.

Floral

Floral has been a symbol of feminism for the past 100 years of fashion and it is still a pinnacle staple in the spring and summer months. Although floral has been around for many years, the 2024 trend is having contrasting bright-coloured flowers with darker backdrops to stand out. No more wilted roses but bold colours of yellow and contrasting pinks just to name a few of the bold colours with the likes of Valentino and Aspinal of London are using in their collections for 2024. The beauty of floral patterns are they go with most plain items of clothing but can also be dressed up with heels and accessories.

Headscarves

Headscarves have been a staple in fashion for many years with the likes of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly pulling off the look in the 50’s and more mainstream fashion icons pulling it off in the 2000s. Well, it’s back! And it will keep on coming back as it looks fantastic. Headscarves are an easy and effortless accessory to any outfit no matter if you’re wearing boutique or casual attire. Due to the countless designs and patterns, you can easily find a range that will go with your outfits, match with a pair of sunglasses and the look is yours.

Wide Leg/Baggy Jeans

So when we say that fashion trends are pointing towards the ’90s and early 2000’s we mean it. So why would we say that without mentioning the biggest trend back then? That’s right, say goodbye to skinny jeans and opt for a more relaxed wide-leg or baggy fit which also resembles the 70’s look. Allow these to sit high up your waist and flare from the knee. These jeans will elongate the leg giving the appearance of long legs with a relaxed vibe. The great thing with these jeans is that they can be paired with almost anything you want, but if you want to go down the 90’s look, why not add a pair of cool trainers with a cropped top and some 90’s style shades.

These are just some of the fantastic styles that are here to stay throughout 2024, follow some of these and you will be one of the best dressed wherever you go this year.
